# Give contractors pro pricing

> Contractor accounts with their own discounts, a sign-in on your store, and job names on every order.

Pro teams let you give landscapers, contractors and your other regulars their own prices. They sign in on your store, see their pro prices, and add a job and PO number to every order. Everyone else checks out the same as always.

## Turn it on

Tap **Settings**, then **Pro teams**, and turn on **Offer pro accounts**. You don't need Fleet.

Now your store's menu has **Pro sign in**, and **Customers** has a **Pro teams** tab. Leave **Let customers apply** on to also show **Apply for a pro account** on your store.

## Make a pro team

**1. Open the customer**

Tap **Customers**, open the person who runs the company, and tap **Make a pro team**. Or tap the **Pro teams** tab, then **New pro team**.

**2. Name the team and set the discounts**

Use the company name. Set a **Material discount** and a **Delivery discount** as a percent. Either one can be 0.

**3. Pick the job rule**

Whether pros pick a job at checkout: **Off**, **Optional** or **Required**.

**4. Invite members**

Tap **Invite member** and add the people who order for the company, like the owner, office staff and crew leads. They get an email with a link to sign in, or a text if you've set up [text messages](https://bulk-order-hero.mintlify.site/advanced/text-messages.md).

Two more switches on each team:

* **Members can add jobs**: anyone on the team can add a job, not just the owner.
* **Buyers can see all team orders**: off at first, so each person sees only their own orders. The team owner always sees all of them.

## Applications from your store

When someone fills in **Apply for a pro account**, you get a notification on the bell and an email. Find it under **Customers**, then **Pro teams**, then **Requests**.

* **Approve**: pick their discounts. The team is made and their invite goes out.
* **Decline**: you can send them a polite email.

## How pro pricing works

* Pros see their price with your regular price crossed out, on your products and in the cart. With a delivery discount, their delivery price is lower too.
* The pro discount comes off first. The 2% fee and the card fee follow your usual choice in **Payments & fees**.
* Pros pay by card at checkout, like everyone else.
* Prices are locked in when an order is placed. Changing a team's discount only affects new orders.

## The team page

Open a team to see what they've spent this month, this year and all time, plus their members, jobs and recent orders. Tap **View all orders** to open your orders list showing only that team.

* **Pause a team:** set it to **Paused**. Members can still sign in and order, at your regular prices.
* **Remove someone:** tap **Remove** next to their name.
* **Invite didn't arrive?** Tap **Resend invite**.

## Pro orders in the app

* **Orders:** pro orders have a **Pro** tag. The order page shows the team, who ordered, the job and the PO number. In the [orders list](https://bulk-order-hero.mintlify.site/how-to/orders-list.md), filter by **Pro team** or **Job**.
* **Customers:** pros have a **Pro · team name** tag.
* **Phone orders:** pick a customer on a pro team and their discount is added for you. See [Take a phone order](https://bulk-order-hero.mintlify.site/how-to/phone-orders.md).
* **Invoices:** the job and PO number show on the invoice.

## Common questions

> **Do my other customers have to sign in?**
>
> No. Anyone who isn't signed in sees your regular prices and checks out the same as always.

> **Can contractors pay later, on account?**
>
> Not yet. Pro orders are paid by card at checkout, like every other order.

> **Can a team get a special price on just one product?**
>
> Not yet. Each team gets one material discount and one delivery discount.
