# Change the emails customers get

> Turn order emails on or off, change what they say, and choose where your order alerts go.

To get there: tap **Settings**, then **Notifications**.

## Emails your customers get

* **When they pay**: an order confirmation. This one is always sent.
* **On the way**: when you tap **On the way**.
* **Delivered**: when you tap **Delivered**, with your delivery photo.
* **Invoice**: when you send them an invoice. See [Print or send an invoice](https://bulk-order-hero.mintlify.site/how-to/invoices.md).

If you offer pickup, there are pickup emails too.

When a customer replies to one of these emails, the reply comes to you.

## Change what an email says

**1. Tap the email you want to change**

**2. Edit the words**

Change the **Subject** and **Message** however you like.

**3. Add order details**

Tap a button like `{customer_first_name}` or `{tracking_link}` to drop that detail into your message. When the email is sent, it's replaced with the real name, link and so on.

**4. Check it**

Tap **Preview** to see it, or **Send test to me** to get one in your inbox.

Messed it up? Tap **Reset to default**.

## Turn an email off

Tap the email and turn off **Send this email**.

## Where your new-order emails go

Under **Notification email**, type the email you check most. Tap **Send test email** to make sure it arrives, then tap **Save notifications**.

> Not getting the emails? Check your spam or junk folder, and mark the email as "not spam".

## Text messages
